William Lee Rooksberry1

     William Lee Rooksberry also went by the name of Lee.2 He was born on 3 November 1896 at Indiana.1 He was the son of John Rooksberry and Sarah Jane Isbell.1 He married Helen Clark on 23 December 1933 at Indiana.2 He died on 9 April 1964 at Dugger, Sullivan County, Indiana, at age 67.1

William Lee Rooksberry 67, of the Bucktown communitydies at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Rest Home in Dugger. He had been ill for several months.
Smith (sic) was born in IndianaNov. 3, 1896, the son of John and Jane Isbell Rooksberry. He is a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness congregation at Sullivan.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Helen Rooksberry; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Shipley of Connersville, Mrs. Kay Goodman of Carlisle rte. 2, and Mrs. Margaret Savage of Spencer; two sons, William R. Rooksberry of Carlisle rte. 1, and Robert L. Rooksberry at home; ten grandchildren, a brother, Elmer Rooksberry of New Castle, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Smith of Pendleton and Mrs. Choe Mitchell of Carlisle rte. 2. A daughter, Martha, preceded him in death.
The body was taken to the NewkirkFuneral home at Dugger where friends may call after noon Saturday. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday and burial will be made in the Woodward Cemetery.1
