     Irene Elizabeth Milliken was born on 27 October 1831 at Logan County, Kentucky.1 She was the daughter of William Milliken and Mary West.1 She married Dathan Darby on 27 May 1852 at Logan County, Kentucky.1,2 She died on 13 June 1861 at Cave Spring, Breckinridge County, Kentucky, at age 29.1

     Irie Lewis Milliken was born on 10 January 1932 at Tennessee.1,3 He was the son of Hershell Dillard Milliken and Bula Lois Jackson.1 He married Odessa Summers, daughter of Jesse Ray Summers Sr. and Madie Richardson, circa 1956.3,2 He died on 20 November 2018 at Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee, at age 86.2

Irie Lewis Milliken, age 86, of Clarksville, passed away November 20, 2018 at Tennessee State Veterans Home.

Irie was born January 10, 1932, in Stewart County, TN, to the late Hershel Milliken and Lois Jackson Milliken. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Teddy Milliken and sister, Nellie Tucker.

Mr. Milliken was a US Army veteran, having served during the Korean War and obtaining The Order of the Bayonet and the Bronze Star with Valor Medal. He worked for the Civil Service at Fort Campbell and the Montgomery County Highway Department. Irie was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville and was a Montgomery County Commissioner from 1981-1991.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Irie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Odessa Summers Milliken; son, Terry (Angela) Milliken of Clarksville; daughter, Debbie (Phillip) Butler of Clarksville; ten grandchildren, Scott Shearon, Macey Milliken, Mallory Milliken, Bennett Milliken, Jason Butler, Janet Mason, Jackie Ward, Jake Dailey, Kathryn Dailey, and Anna Dailey; eleven great grandchildren, Dustin Butler, Conner Ward, Chace Ward, Shawn Gulec, Jason Shearon, Emre Gulec, Jayden Butler, Hunter Shearon, Ariel Shearon, Lacey Shearon, and Jackson Shearon; and one great great grandchild, Rhett Butler.

Pallbearers will be Scott Shearon, Gary Baggett, Chad Byard, Ricky Tucker, Larry Tucker, Philip Hagewood, and Jason Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Yohe and Corky Ward.

The family would like to thank the TN Veterans Home in Clarksville for the great love and support provided to Irie; especially the staff in House 1.

James Milliken

     James Milliken was born after 1780. He was the son of James Milliken and Rachel Kelly. He married Oney Hudson on 11 August 1803 at Orange County, North Carolina.1,2 He was was heir to 100 acres of land from his father's will. According to researcher, Rev. G.T. Ridlon, he died "on his plantation without issue." in 1806.2
