     Nathan Milliken was born on 10 May 1930 at Stewart County, Tennessee.1,2 He was the son of Alfred Hill Milliken and Laura Louise Grizzard. He married Lois Elliott after 1950 at USA.2 He died on 25 November 1983 at Granite City, Madison County, Illinois, at age 53.2

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home in Dover.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Maxie Milliken, officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Indian Mound.
He was born May 10, 1930, in Stewart County, the son of the late Alfred and Luna Grizzard Milliken.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Elliot Milliken; three daughters, Linda Cave and Alice Brummitt, both of Granite City and Juanita Parker of Clarksville; three brothers, Ralph and Hershel Milliken, both of Indian Mound, and Leonard Milliken of Dover; three sisters, Bessie Mullins of Indian Mound, Katie Parker of Clarksville, Jeanette Welker of Cumberland City; and seven grandchildren.2

Nelda Jean Milliken1

     Nelda Jean Milliken was born on 30 September 1925 at Lovelady, Houston County, Texas.2 She was the daughter of Arthur Benjamin Milliken and Callie Hortense McCullar.1 She was educated between 1941 and 1945 at Abilene, Taylor County, Texas.3 She graduated in 1945 at Abilene, Taylor County, Texas; with a B.A. in Music.3 She married Byron Thomas Stewart, son of Thomas Alonga Stewart and Berthal A. Patterson, on 6 August 1949.4,5,2 She died on 16 July 2017 at Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas, at age 91.2

STEWART, Nelda Jean Milliken Nelda Jean Milliken Stewart died peacefully on July 16, 2017 in Round Rock TX. She was born September 30, 1925 in Lovelady, TX to Arthur Benjamin Milliken and Callie Hortense McCullar Milliken. Nelda grew up in Lovelady, graduating from Lovelady High School in 1942 and |Abilene Christian University in 1945.

She taught school in Lovelady, Corpus Christi, and Dallas and also taught private piano lessons. Nelda was a Christian woman and a life-long member of the Church of Christ. Her life was an example of love, generosity, and service to others.

She met Byron Thomas Stewart in Corpus Christi in 1948 and they married on August 6, 1949. They moved to Dallas where they lived for the next 25 years. In 1975, Byron's job took them to Longview, TX where they lived for over 35 years. During this time they were members of the Alpine Church of Christ.

When Nelda became unable to care for herself, she moved to The Cottages at Chandler Creek in Round Rock, TX. We are grateful to the staff there, all of whom showed unfailing diligence in caring for and loving her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and sister, Caroline Faye Milliken. She is survived by her children David Arthur Stewart and wife Barbara of Burnet, TX; Mark Thomas Stewart and wife Suzanne of Austin, TX; Nelda Carolyn Lawrence and husband James of Tulsa, OK. Also surviving are grandchildren Eric Martin Alvarez of Davie, FL; Daniel Thomas Stewart and wife Eileen of Austin, TX; Gregory Edward Stewart and wife Anna of Murfreesboro, TN; David Jennings Stewart and wife Liz of Atascocita, TX; Adrienne Lawrence McKinney and husband Chris of Tulsa, OK; Austin Paul Lawrence and wife Katherine of Abilene, TX; Alec Stewart Lawrence and wife of Catie of Tulsa, OK. Also surviving her are 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Abilene Christian University Library or the charity of your choice.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Mausoleum of Rosewood Park in Longview, Texas beginning at 10 AM. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation from 9 AM to 10 AM at the Mausoleum.

TUCKER, Nellie R. Our beloved mother, went to be with the Lord Friday morning, February 10, 2006, with her family by her side. She was born in Stewart County, Tennessee, November 18, 1933, the daughter of Hershel and Lois Milliken. Nellie was very devoted to the Lord, and was a member of the South Middletown Church of God. She is survived by her children, Sue (Kenny) Deaton, Rick (Pauline) Tucker, Ann Tucker Williams, Yvonne Friday, Sheila Tucker, Darrell (Lorna) Tucker, Larry (Cheryl) Tucker, and Leila Tucker; 8 grandchildren, Jimmie (Beth) Deaton, Lisa (Donnie) Manning, Dustin Tucker, Cassie Tucker, Aymia Tucker, Karis Tucker, Elizabeth Allen, and Josh Friday; 7 great-grandchildren. Ashley Deaton, Austin Deaton, Josh Deaton, Corey Manning, Alexis Manning, Shelby Manning, and Samantha Manning; 2 brothers, Irie Milliken of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Teddy Milliken of Woodlawn, Tennessee; and was loved by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradie H. Tucker in 2004; and by her parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, at 1:00 PM at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with Pastor James Anderson officiating. Friends may call from 11 AM until service time on Monday. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery. The family would like to express special thanks to Vitas Hospice of Cincinnati, and to Susan Saylor of Vitas Hospice.
