Marjorie Vern Milliken

     Marjorie Vern Milliken was also known as Margie.1 She was born circa 1923. She was the daughter of Stephen C. Milliken and Lula Pearl Sowers. She married Frederick Maurice Dishaw before 1946. She was a volunteer worker at the East Harris County's Fourth Annual Hotdog Extravaganza to benefit The South Channel East Harris County Senior Citizens. on 26 June 2001.2 She died on 24 May 2002 at Pasadena, Harris County, Texas.1 Margie Dishaw, 79, of Pasadena, died Friday, May 24, 2002. Mrs. Dishaw was a charter member of South Avenue Baptist Church, Pasadena. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Dishaw, and sister, Doris Walters. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Smith and husband Dexter; sister, Loyce Lightfoot; nieces, Lynda Harp, Martha Gray, Debra Sylvester and husband Richard, Karen Bennett; nephews, Steve Walters and wife Martha, Van Lightfoot and wife Cheryl, and Ricky Lightfoot and wife Melissa.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 27, 2002 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, Temporary Facility at 2111 Pasadena Blvd. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jim Overton officiating. Burial to follow, Grand View Memorial Park, Pasadena, Texas. The family would like to thank Betty Anderson, Doris Willis, Fern Barnes and all of the members of the "We Love Margie Club" for their love and concern during Margie's illness.1
