     Homer L. Cromer was born on 2 February 1881 at Owen County, Indiana.1 He was the son of Nathan Cromer and Sarah Querry.2 He married Minnie M. Arnett, daughter of James A. Arnett and Hannah Isabelle Denny, on 4 April 1907 at Owen County, Indiana.1

     Warren Baker Crow III was born on 6 June 1930 at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.2 He married Jane Walker, daughter of George Philips Walker Jr. and Mildred Hearn, circa 1953 at Alabama.3 He died on 12 December 2007 at Mountain Brook, Jefferson County, Alabama, at age 77.2

CROW, WARREN BAKER III a resident of Mountain Brook, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Born June 6, 1930 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Baker Crow and Pauline Moultrie Crow.

He attended Phillips High School and graduated from The University of Alabama and The University of Alabama School of Law. He was a member of the American, Alabama and Birmingham Bar Association and the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. While at The University of Alabama, he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta social fraternity.

Warren joined his father at U.S. Tire Supply and later was Director of Industrial Relations at Associated Industries of Alabama and was a lobbyist in Montgomery and Washington. He later joined Alabama Independent Insurance Agents Association as Executive Vice President. The American Society of Association Executives honored him with their highest award, Certified Association Executive. He was President of Warren B. Crow Investment Company and Associated with his son at Shaw Warehouse Company.

Actively involved in the business and community and civic life in Birmingham, he was President of the Birmingham Jaycees, the Alabama Jaycees and is a life member of the Junior Chamber International. He was a member of the Business Council of Alabama, the Alabama Forestry Association, the Birmingham Kiwanis Club, Monday Morning Quarterback Club, the Alabama Red Elephant Club, the Alabama Tip Off Club, Past President of the Jefferson County Alabama Alumni Association and a member of the Bean Arts Krewe. He was on the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Self-Insured Worker's Compensation Fund.

He was a long time member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church, Country Club of Birmingham and The Club. He enjoyed playing golf and especially with his many friends in the No Name Dogfight.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Walker Crow; sons, Warren Baker Crow, IV (Nan), William Walker Crow (Lauren); daughter, Elisabeth Crow Branch (Chuck); grandchildren, Whitney Crow, Caroline Crow, John Crow, Walker Crow, Margaret Anne Crow, Charles Branch, Christopher Branch, Hunter Branch and Jane Branch.

The Memorial Service will commence at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 15th of December in the sanctuary of Mountain Brook Baptist Church. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family immediately following the service in Mountain Brook Baptist Church's Hudson Hall.

In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials honoring Warren Baker Crow, III may be directed to The Big Oak Ranch, Mountain Brook Baptist Church, or to the charity of your choice.

Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (879-3401) in Homewood.
