     Robert Perkins Milliken is the son of George Hugh Milliken Sr. and Ina Merritt Johnson.¹

     Roe Milliken was born on 3 August 1880 at Henry County, Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of William M. Milliken and Sarah Unknown.¹ She married Robert Armstead Clark on 25 August 1899 at USA.¹

     Ross Milliken is the son of Russell Reed Milliken and Nina Gladys Gafford.¹

     Roy Milliken was born on 22 February 1898 at Kentucky.¹ He was the son of George Wesley Milliken and Luella Macpherson Perkins.¹ He appeared on the census of 20 June 1900 in the household of George Wesley Milliken and Luella Macpherson Perkins at Stallard Springs, Warren County, Kentucky.³ He appeared on the census of 23 April 1910 in the household of Luella Macpherson Perkins at Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky.⁴

     Russell Franklin Milliken Jr. was born on 9 July 1925 at Ira, Scurry County, Texas.² He was the son of Russell Franklin Milliken Sr. and Laura Edna Richardson. He lived with Russell Franklin Milliken Sr. on 16 April 1940 at Mitchell County, Texas.³ He married Nelda Jo York, daughter of Fred Edward York and Grace Truman Westfall, on 20 April 1944. He and Ozro Allison were were owner managers of the B. Loftin Service Station on 26 July 1946 at Big Spring, Howard County, Texas.⁴ He died on 6 January 2008 at Florence, Burnet County, Texas, at age 82; (may have died on 05 Jan 2008.)^5,6,2 He was buried on 10 January 2008 at Coahoma, Howard County, Texas.⁵

     Russell Franklin Milliken Sr. was born on 3 March 1892 at Dew, Freestone County, Texas.^1,2 He was the son of Robert Harris Milliken and Francis Isabelle Ham. He appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 at Freestone County, Texas; with his family.³ He married Laura Edna Richardson, daughter of Newell Luther Richardson Sr. and Ann Lee Wells, circa 1919.^4,5 He and Walter Clarence Milliken were mentioned in the September 17, 1927 edition of the Fairfield Recorder, as having picked 1204 pounds of cotton between them (623 and 581 respectively) back on 6 Oct 1914. The article goes on to say that prior to that date they had picked 13 bales in 25 days. That's a lot of cotton to pick by hand!⁶ He and Laura Edna Richardson lived in 1935 at Westbrook, Mitchell County, Texas.⁷ He lived on 16 April 1940 at Mitchell County, Texas.⁷ He died on 27 March 1941 at age 49.¹

     Russell Reams Milliken was born in February 1893 at Tennessee headstone lists 12 Mar 1893 as DOB.^1,2 He was the son of John Beard Milliken and Annie E. Grizzard.¹ He died on 8 November 1914 at USA at age 21. He was buried after 8 November 1914 at Stewart County, Tennessee.

Russell Milliken

Russell Reed Milliken, age 89 of Dover, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Manor House of Dover. The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Edwards, Verlon Pritchett, and Carl Newberry officiating. Burial will be in Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday.

He was born Sept. 27, 1922 in Stewart County, son of the late Garland and Goldie Keatts Milliken. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geneva Crain.

Mr. Milliken was a World War II Navy Veteran and a retired groundskeeper at Paris Landing State Park. He was a member of Rose Valley United Methodist Church, where he was a long time adult Sunday School Teacher.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 68 years, Nina Gafford Milliken; four children, Ross Milliken (Faye), Donna Butts (Mack), Terry Milliken (Donna), all of Dover, and Jimmy Milliken, of Tennessee Ridge; eight grandchildren, Angie Lancaster, Michelle Odom, Lucynda Cook, Marcine Corlew, Tara Wiese, Russ, Gina, and Reed Milliken; five great grandchildren, Sara and Dylan Lancaster, Mackenzie and Darryll Cook, and Rachel Wiese, and one sister, Anna Rae Keatts.

Family will serve as Pallbearers. In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made to the Rose Valley Cemetery Fund.
