     Heinrich Bawel was born circa 1810.2 He was the son of Georg Franz Bawel and Katharina Elisabetha Renner.3 He married Margaretha Gerber, daughter of Philipp Gerber and Philippine Wiegand, on 27 December 1832 at Freinsheim, Bad Dürkheim, Pfalz.3 He and Margaretha Gerber emigrated on 23 November 1854 from Freinsheim, Pfalz, via Le Harve, France with their family aboard the ship St. Denis.2 He died on 22 February 1868 at Freinsheim, Pfalz.4

Amos Bawell, 58, of 173 Butter Road, Leola, was dead on arrival at Lancaster General Hospital at 4:50 p.m. Death was attributed ti natural causes.
A self-employes butcher and farmer, Bawell belonged to Mt. Tabor Church.
He was the husband of Rebecca Lapp Bawell. Born in West Earl Township, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Fisher Bawell.
Besides his wife, he is survived by these children: Jesse, Daniel, Amos, Jr., and Emma, wife of Amos Stoltzfus. all four of Leola; Naomi, Wife of David Witmer, Denver; Ruth, wife of John Smucker, McVeytown; Edna, wife of David Stoltzfus, Lancaster; 25 grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers: Rachel, wife of Leroy Ebersole; Leah Fisher and Daniel Bawell, of Leola, and Elias Bawell, Gap.
Also surviving are these foster children: Charles Walstrom, Ronnie Bawell, Connie Bawell, Kathy Bawell, all at home; and David Walstrom, U. S. Army, Kentucky.4
