     Ann Lee Wells was born on 21 January 1876 at Freestone County, Texas. She was the daughter of Samuel G. Wells and Lettie Mariah Garner.1,2 She married Newell Luther Richardson Sr., son of John Whitney Richardson and Mary Louise Cobbs, on 28 February 1894 at Freestone County, Texas.3 She appeared on the census of 12 June 1900 at Freestone County, Texas.2 She died on 19 October 1900 at Freestone County, Texas, at age 24. She was buried on 20 October 1900 at Freestone County, Texas.4

Mr. Luthur Richardson, living about nine miles east of Fairfield, had the misfortune to lose his wife last Friday. She had been ill a few days with malarial fever, which brought on pneumonia and she soon died. The deceased had been in bad health for some months. She was about thirty years old, and besides an aged mother and husband, left behind three little children to mourn her loss. Mrs. Richardson was the youngest child of the late Samuel G. Wells, a well known citizen of this county. The RECORDER tenders sincere sympathy to the deeply bereaved family.5

     Daniel Parker Wells was born on 19 June 1837 at Republic of Texas.1 He was the son of Samuel G. Wells and Phebe Parker.1 He began military service on 7 May 1862 at Fairfield, Freestone County, Texas, Twelfth Texas Infantry, Company I (also know as the Eighth Infantry and Young's Regiment.)2 He died circa 31 January 1863.
