     Ira Fleming Fielden Shuler was born on 28 August 1863 at Grayson County, Virginia.¹ He was the son of Abraham Shuler and Hannah Bonaham.² He died on 1 August 1889 at USA at age 25.¹

     Jacob O. Shuler was born on 4 February 1859 at Page County, Virginia.¹ He was the son of William D. Shuler and Sarah Ann Koontz.¹ He married Annie Cook, daughter of Joseph Cook and Martha Barnes, on 6 November 1884 at Grant Township, Reno County, Kansas.^1,2

     James Aggison Shuler was born on 19 October 1896 at Lee County, Virginia.^1,3 He was the son of Joseph Stevens Shuler and Cora Ellen Waddell.¹ He married Mary Alice Gamble on 14 October 1917 at Grady County, Oklahoma.⁴ He began military service on 6 September 1918.⁵ He died on 16 October 1954 at USA at age 57.⁵

     Rev. James Alexander Hamilton Shuler was born circa 1859 at Virginia.^1,3 He was the son of Rev. Philip Lofton Shuler and Easter Emeline Gollahon.¹ He married Amanda Emeline Harrington, daughter of William Hale Harrington and Matilda Hall, on 12 November 1880 at USA.¹ He married Mary Blanche Gibson on 20 September 1913 at USA.¹ He died on 26 January 1935 at Bristol, Sullivan County, Tennessee.²

     James D. Shuler is the son of James Aggison Shuler and Mary Alice Gamble.¹

     James Johnston Shuler was born on 25 September 1826 at Grayson County, Virginia. He was the son of John Kendrick Shuler and Sarah Cornett. He married Mary Ann Lee on 6 July 1848 at Morgan County, Indiana.

     James K. Shuler was born circa 1836 at Virginia.¹ He was the son of George Michael Shuler and Phoebe Russell.¹ He married Lois E. Unknown before 1857 at USA.³

     James W. Shuler was born circa 1843 at Virginia.¹ He was the son of Adam Shuler and Elizabeth Hall.¹

     James Weldon Shuler was born on 25 June 1929 at Johnson County, Texas.^1,2,3 He was the son of Ernest Murial Shuler and Henryetta Parrott.⁴ He married Genevieve French on 16 September 1950.⁵ He died on 16 February 2010 at Sweetwater, Nolan County, Texas, at age 80.^6,7

James Weldon Shuler

Funeral services for James Weldon Shuler, 80, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Lamar Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating.

Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb.

18, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home.

Shuler died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab in Sweetwater.

He was born June 25, 1929, in Burleson. He married Genevieve French Sept. 16, 1950, in Roscoe. He was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church and had worked of the U. S.

Post Office for 32 years as an office clerk and a carrier, retiring in 1987.

Shuler graduated from Roscoe High School in May 1948, and attended Hardin Simmons University. He also worked eight years for U. S Gypsum Company. He has lived in Sweetwater since 1950. Shuler also served in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife Genevieve Shuler of Sweetwater; two sons, Calvin Shuler and wife Susan of Wylie, Texas and Joe Shuler of League City, Texas; two daughters, Karen Miller and husband Harold of Saginaw, Texas and Kimberly Lyons of Irving; one brother, Lawrence Shuler and wife Brenda of London, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Heath of San Antonio, Donna Barfield of Kerrville and Doris Shuler of London, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Henrietta Shuler; and a brother, Ernest Shuler.

Pallbearers will be Dale Finch, Donald Kite, Norman Massey, Sam Young, Jack Kennedy, Clifford Ashley and Johnny Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Burton, Bud Smith, Ray Cornutt, Gary Harger, Donnie Rannefeld, Daryl Mullican and special fiend, Jake Burton (a little boy).
