Anna Marie Crogan , 77, of Gays Mills passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her home.

She was born on December 29, 1939, the daughter of Arnold and Marion (Paulson) McCullick. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1958 and then attended County Normal teachers college in Viroqua, WI. She began her teaching career in 1960 in a one-room schoolhouse in Rising Sun, WI, part of the Seneca School District, where she taught all 8 grades (1st 8th). She taught for 36 years the first 5 or 6 at Seneca and the rest at North Crawford. She married Richard Crogan on June 1, 1963 at the Mt.Sterling Lutheran Church. They lived in Mt. Sterling until 1987 when the moved just outside of town to the Crogan family farm. They have one daughter, Lisa (Jay) Greene and two granddaughters, Ashley and Nicole, who were the light of her life. She was an active member of the Utica Lutheran Church where she served on numerous committees. Her strong faith played a vital role in her life. Her passions included teaching, going to the musicals at North Crawford, watching movies, reading, and especially spending time with family.

After her retirement Anna Marie was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. She was fortunate to receive a heart transplant on December 15, 2002 at University Hospital in Madison. She gained nearly 15 extra years due to the generosity of organ donation. Being the educator that she was, she spent the next several years traveling to nearby churches to share the story of her transplant journey and encouraging people to consider being an organ donor.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard Crogan, of Gays Mills; her daughter Lisa (Jay) Greene of Gays Mills; her two granddaughters, Ashley and Nicole Greene of Gays Mills; three brothers, Wayne (Nancy) McCullick of Elroy, John (Linda) McCullick of Mt. Sterling, Don (Dixie) McCullick of Seneca; one sister, Mary (Ken) Applegate of Milton, one sister-in-law, Judy McCullick of Mt. Sterling, and two brother-in-laws, Dennis Jordan of Janesville, WI, and Eli Crogan of Watertown, WI; and nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; a sister, Arlene Jordan; a brother, Alan McCullick; and a sister-in-law, Karen Crogan.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 20th, at 11 a.m. at the Utica Lutheran Church with Pastor Nile Sandeen officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 19th from 3-6 p.m. at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua.

She married Dennis Ochs Jordan, son of Durward E. Jordan and Edith Gwen Jones, on 15 July 1967 at Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.1 She died on 24 July 2003 at Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, at age 56.1

JANESVILLE, Wis. - Arlene R. Jordan, 56, of 2526 Kennedy Road died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at UW Hospital, Madison. She was born July 1, 1947, in Prairie du Chien, Wis., and was the daughter of Arnold and Marion (Paulson) McCullick. Arlene had been a Janesville resident since 1965. She married Dennis O. Jordan on July 15, 1967, in Janesville. Arlene had been employed as a Mini Shift Lead at Prent and a receptionist at Gilman Engineering.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Dennis; a son, Jon Paul (Sandi) Jordan of San Diego, Calif; a granddaughter, Sydney Nicole Jordan; her mother, Marion McCullick of Gays Mills, Wis; two sisters, Anna Marie (Richard) Crogan of Mount Sterling, Wis., and Mary (Ken) Applegate of Milton, Wis; four brothers, Wayne (Nancy) McCullick of Elroy, Wis., John (Linda) McCullick and Alan (Judy) McCullick both of Mount Sterling, and Donald (Dixie) McCullick of Seneca, Wis; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold McCullick.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at Schneider Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronald Weber officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Mount Sterling, at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1. Friends may call Thursday, July 31, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at Schneider Funeral Home.
