     William Henry Shuler was born on 1 October 1863 at Morgan County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of George Shuler and Sarah Ratts.^1,2 He died on 14 May 1864 at Morgan County, Indiana.¹

William Shuler Dies at Home

A retired farmer and long time resident of the Paragon community died at his home in Paragon at 6:30 this morning. William Henry Shuler, 82, had been ill for about three years.
The son of Henry and Hannah Lucetta Dow Shuler, he was born in Ashland Township Feb. 19, 1888. His first wife, the former Susie Serena Stierwalt, died in 1954 and he later remarried Laura Isabel Dunigan, who survives.
Mr. Shuler was a member of the Olive Christian Church.
Survivors beside the widow include seven children and five step-children. The children are Mrs. Mildred Jacobs and Mrs. Dorothy Myers of Indianapolis, Mrs. Maxine Riffle of Gosport, Robert of Paragon, John of Missouri, Richard of Unionville and Norman of Martinsville. Step-children are Charles James Dunigan and Herschel Dunigan of Martinsville, Earl Dunigan of Shelbyville, Mrs. Naomi Hale and Mrs Rosy Whitaker of Paragon. Twenty-two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive as does a sister, Mrs. Rosanna Rone of Bloomington.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Neal and Summers Chapel with Rev. Virgil Baugh officiating.
Burial will take place in the Friendship Park Cemetery and friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.⁶

He died on 16 March 1970 at Paragon, Morgan County, Indiana, at age 82.²

     Yonna Marie Shuler is the daughter of Wayne Franklin Shuler and Mary Eileen Brouse.²

     Yvonna Eileen Shuler is the daughter of Wayne Franklin Shuler and Mary Eileen Brouse.¹ She married Andrew McKay Tilley on 23 August 1980 at Vevay, Switzerland County, Indiana.¹

     Amanda Matilda Shull was born on 19 January 1832 at Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of David Shull and Elizabeth Herman.^2,3 She married John George Jordan, son of John Joseph Jordan and Catherine Rupert, before 1861. She died on 27 April 1891 at Huntington County, Indiana, at age 59.¹

     Benjamin Franklin Shull also went by the name of Frank.¹ He was born on 31 May 1841 at Stark County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of David Shull and Elizabeth Herman.² He married Lucy E. Householder, daughter of John Householder and Rachel Goble, after 1860. He died on 23 February 1918 at Whitley County, Indiana, at age 76.¹

     Mr. Shull learned cabinetmaking, used both German and English fluently, and was a great reader. In stature he was small, and was kindly dispositioned and generous. About 1833-34 removed to Massillon, Ohio, where he followed cabinet making in partnership with his brothers. Later he joined with Jacob in purchasing a farm of 100 acres near the village of North Lawrence, west of Massillon, of which he became sole owner later.
Six children. David Shull was born on 19 March 1805 at Franklin County, Pennsylvania.¹ He married Elizabeth Herman before 1831. He died on 5 April 1875 at Stark County, Ohio, at age 70.¹
