     Mary E. Honeywell was born in January 1874 at New York. She was the daughter of William H. Honeywell Sr. and Ellen Fursman.¹ She appeared on the census of 16 February 1892 in the household of William H. Honeywell Sr. and Ellen Fursman at Moriah, Essex County, New York.¹ She married Ernest Edson Jordan, son of Carlos A. Jordan and Elma J. Lane, circa 1899 at New York.² She was visited by her cousin, Miss Lizzie Furzman of Devonshire, England on 5 October 1911. She was selling off her cattle after the death of her husband, Ernest.

     William H. Honeywell Jr. was born circa 1890 at USA.¹ He was the son of William H. Honeywell Sr. and Ellen Fursman.¹ He appeared on the census of 16 February 1892 in the household of William H. Honeywell Sr. and Ellen Fursman at Moriah, Essex County, New York.¹

     William H. Honeywell Sr. was born circa 1852 at England.² He married Ellen Fursman before 1873. He was naturalized on 27 October 1882 at Elizabethtown, Essex County, New York.² He and Ellen Fursman appeared on the census of 16 February 1892 at Moriah, Essex County, New York.¹

     Mary Annie Hooper was born on 13 January 1907 at Tennessee.² She married William Bryant Pierce on 7 July 1923 at Henry County, Tennessee.¹ She died on 28 May 1936 at Henry County, Tennessee, at age 29.²

     James Hooten married Nancy Donaldson, daughter of Otis Leon Donaldson and Maxine Hill, after 1961.

     James Otis Hooten is the son of James Hooten and Nancy Donaldson.

     Rinda Hooten is the daughter of James Hooten and Nancy Donaldson. She married Tony Akains after 1981.

     Alice L. Hoots was born on 26 November 1931.¹ She was the daughter of Willard Pleasant Hoots and Dezzie Euzell Watson.¹ She married William Travis Bow, son of William Hayden Bow and Ruby Lillian Riddle, on 4 August 1951 at USA.^1,3 She married Delbert C. Merida on 22 December 1973 at Marion County, Indiana.⁴ She died on 14 August 2020 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, at age 88.²

Alice L. Hoots Merida

Alice L. Merida, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 14, 2020. She was born on November 26, 1931 in Burkesville, KY to Willard Hoots and Dezzie Watson Hoots.

She was the oldest of seven children. She graduated from Cumberland County High School. Her graduating class took a senior trip to New York City.

She married William Travis Bow and had their first child while living in Ky. named Judy.
They moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where they had 2 more children, Ginny and Jack.
Years later she divorced Travis and married Delbert Merida. Del had 2 daughters Brenda and Jacquie. She had 15 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

After retiring from Western Electric, she had time for her many hobbies. She loved gardening, there wasn't anything she couldn't grow. She especially loved tiger lilies. She started tracking the genealogy of her large family. Her most favorite passion was making beautiful quilts. Survivors include 2 sisters-Mary Bow and Sue Bow and 1 brother-Willard Hoots Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert and her daughter Judy.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM followed by a service at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery.

During this time of Covid-19, the family requests that social distancing be practiced and masks are required for the safety of all that will attend the visitation and service. Thank you in advance for your support during this difficult time.²

     Alva Clifford Hoots was born circa 1933 at Bow, Cumberland County, Kentucky.^1,2 He was the son of Willard Pleasant Hoots and Dezzie Euzell Watson.¹ He died on 10 June 2005 at USA.²

     Dora Hoots is the daughter of Wessie B. Hoots and Lizzy Unknown.¹
