He was a proofreader at Typo Service and was an active member and leader at Arlington Heights Baptist Church, served in the US Army and a member and past president of Tape Recording Club of Indianapolis and the Mustang Owners Club of Indianapolis.

Kindsvatter; daughter, Shannon (William Birkle) Kindsvatter Birkle; sister, Kathy Hohman; brother, Keith Kindsvatter; grandchildren, Christa and Sydney Kindsvatter; great-granddaughter, Laila Fearin; step-grandchildren, Allison and Matthew Birkle.

Visitation, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Wilson St Pierre Funeral Service - Stirling Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd. Indianapolis, IN. Funeral, 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial, Washington Park East Cemetery. Contributions, St. Francis Hospice.
