     Edith M. Jones was born on 24 May 1885 at Turin, Lewis County, New York.1 She married John C. Romick on 26 May 1917 at Rochester, Monroe County, New York.1,2 She died on 22 October 1971 at Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington, at age 86.1

Mrs. Edith J. Romick
Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith J. Romick, 86, will be held at Ridgeview Chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Angeles Memorial Park with Rev. Lloyd Doty officiating.
Mrs. Romick died in Port Angeles Friday. She resided at 1702 W. 8th. She was born May 24, 1885, in Turin, N.Y. She married John Romick May 26, 1917, in Nwe York. He dies in 1965.
She attended schools in New York and came to Seattle in 1917, then to Clallam County in 1921. She taught at Joyce from 1921 to 1922. She taught in Eden Valley in 1923 and from 1923 to 1941 was principal and teacher at Dry Creek. She did substitute teaching unti her retirement in 1945. She served as treasurer of the Clallam County Education Association.
She was a member of CHapter BZ-PEO and served as president. She belonged to the Retired Teachers' Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles L. Beam od Port Angeles, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the PEO scholarship fund or a favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be Robert Polhamus, Walter Scott, John Davis, Cecil Bond, Phil White and Walter Forsberg.1
