     Carlos Joseph Jordan was born on 10 January 1898 at Larimore, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.¹ He was the son of Archer J. Jordan and Elizabeth Anne Ochs. He married Emma Josephine Kuntz on 15 November 1922 at Grand Forks County, North Dakota.² He was employed by the North Dakota State Mill after 1943 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota. He died on 28 February 1987 at Menahga, Wadena County, Minnesota, at age 89.³ He was buried on 4 March 1987 at Menahga, Wadena County, Minnesota.

     Cathleen Alice Jordan is the daughter of Dr. Ernest Edson Jordan and Dorothy Lou Rule.¹ She married Carl Duane McClain on 22 December 1978 at Fayette County, Kentucky.³

     The origin of the name Celestia (seh LES tee ah) from Latin meaning "Divine".⁴ She was born on 30 August 1827 at Saratoga County, New York.^1,5,3,6 She was the daughter of Eleazer Jordan and Hannah Unknown.¹ She appeared on the census of 1830 in the household of Eleazer Jordan and Hannah Unknown at Hadley, Saratoga County, New York; with three additional persons in the household. These people included a woman aged 20-29 (Fanny), a girl under 5 (Celestia), and a boy under 5 (John).¹ She married John Lindsey DeLong in May 1847 at Moriah, Essex County, New York.^7,8,9 She and John Lindsey DeLong appeared on the census of 12 June 1860 at North Hudson, Essex County, New York.¹⁰ She and John Lindsey DeLong appeared on the census of 2 August 1870 at North Hudson, Essex County, New York.¹¹ She and John Lindsey DeLong appeared on the census of 2 June 1875 at North Hudson, Essex County, New York.¹² She and John Lindsey DeLong appeared on the census of 23 June 1900 at Elizabethtown Township, Essex County, New York.⁷ She died on 18 October 1907 at New York at age 80.^3,13

Death of Mrs. Celestia DeLong
Mrs. Celestia DeLong, widow of the late John DeLong, died at the home of her son James M. Delong in this village last Friday morning, in the 81st year of her age. She was born August 30, 1827, in South Hadley, N Y., her maiden name being Celestia Jordan. over 60 years ago she married John L. DeLong and move to North Hudson where she lived until about 30 years ago when she came to Elizabethtown to reside. For the past fe years the deceased has been in feeble health. Funeral services were held at the house Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. J. M. Cass conducting, assisted by Rev. George F. Langdon. The remains were buried beside those of her late husband in Riverside Cemetery. Deceased is survived by two sons and two daughters--Wilbur of Casey, Ill, James M., of Elizabethtown, Mrs. Helen Emogene Barr of Jolon, Cal., and Mrs. Lillian Raycraft of Alma, Mich. Two brothers survive--John of Green Island and Carlos A. of this place.¹⁴

     Chester Benjamin Jordan was born on 23 November 1889 at Panton, Addison County, Vermont.^1,2 He was the son of Cora Jordan.¹ He married Mary A. Tredo, daughter of Charles Tredo and Alice LaBeau, on 13 August 1909 at Brandon, Rutland County, Vermont.³ He began working for the W.A & W.B. Dalrymple store as a delivery clerk in May 1912.⁴ He married Lucy Ursella Trudeau on 7 January 1920 at Vergennes, Addison County, Vermont.³ He died on 6 January 1969 at Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, at age 79.¹

Vergennes - Funeral services for Chester Jordan, 80, who died Monday afternoon, will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Larrow Funeral Home in Vergennes. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes at a later date.
He was bornNov. 23, 1888, in Panton. He was a memberof the Vergennes Methodist Church.
He had been employed at the W.A. & W.B. Dalrymple store for 33 years. Later he was employed at Simmonds Aerocessories for several years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucy (Trudeau) Jordan; three sons, Clyde Jordan of Revere, Mass., George Jordan of Concord, Calif. and Richard Jordan of Vergennes; three daughters, Mrs Elsie Detore of Brlington, Mrs Eloise Mitchell and Mrs. Elizabeth Poquette, both of Vergennes; 21 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.⁵

     Clyde Arthur Jordan was born on 1 December 1912 at Vergennes, Addison County, Vermont.^1,3,4 He was the son of Chester Benjamin Jordan and Mary A. Tredo.¹ He was mentioned in the newspaper that he had fallen from a chair and broken his arm on Saturday, October 14, 1916 on 19 October 1916 at Vergennes, Addison County, Vermont.^5,6 He married Beulah Elaine Oakes on 26 June 1944 at Constable, Franklin County, New York; No records have been found (yet) on Beulah and Clyde's marriage. However, there is a Beulah listed as his wife on his 1946 enlistment form and the 1950 & 1951, Buffalo, New York, city directories.^7,8 He married Lana Madeline McConnell after 1953.⁹ He died on 6 October 1969 at USA at age 56.¹⁰

     Cora Jordan was born on 16 February 1867 at Mineville, Essex County, New York.^1,2 She was the daughter of Sylvenus Jordan and Charlotte Gibson.¹ She appeared on the census of 28 July 1870 in the household of Sylvenus Jordan and Charlotte Jordan at Moriah, Essex County, New York.³ She appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 in the household of Charlotte Gibson at Mineville, Essex County, New York.⁴ She died on 10 January 1950 at Vergennes, Addison County, Vermont, at age 82.²

     Daniel R. Jordan married Julie E. Unknown.¹ He is the son of David Archie Jordan and Mavis Ione Burud.¹

     David Archie Jordan was born on 17 October 1932.² He was the son of Durward E. Jordan and Edith Gwen Jones. He married Mavis Ione Burud, daughter of Lawrence Burud and Olga Dahlby, on 14 July 1956 at Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota.^3,4 He and Mavis Ione Burud lived in 1987 at Bismark, Burleigh County, North Dakota.⁵ He died on 6 September 1994 at Minnesota at age 61.^2,1

David Jordan

David A. Jordan, 61, Bay Lake, Minn., formerly of Bismark, died Sept. 6, 1994, in a Brainerd, Minn. hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Salem Lutheran Church, Deerwood, Minn. Burial will be in Bay Lake Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Mavis; one son, Daniel, Hibbing, Minn; one daughter, Loretta Swenson, Prior Lake, Minn; and two brothers, Harvey, Edgerton, Wis., and Dennis, Janesville, Wis. (Koop Funeral Home, Crosby, Minn.)⁶

     Denise Lynn Jordan is the daughter of Edward Llewellyn Jordan and Dorothy Ann Beauregard.¹

     Dennis Ochs Jordan is the son of Durward E. Jordan and Edith Gwen Jones. He married Arlene R. McCullick, daughter of Arnold McCullick and Marion Paulson, on 15 July 1967 at Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.¹
