     Shirley Ann Hunter was born on 9 September 1938 at Titus County, Texas.^1,2 She was the daughter of Walter Louis Hunter and Jessie Lee Lunsford.¹ She married Bobby Eugene Gage before 1956 at USA. She died on 30 December 2020 at Johnson County, Texas, at age 82.³

Shirley Ann Kennedy, 82, of Burleson, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

Shirley was born September 9, 1938 in Mount Pleasant to Walter and Jessie Hunter. She married and had four daughters. She was a devoted mother and worked hard to provide everything her family needed. After her daughters grew up, she remarried and became a successful saleswoman for Home Interiors. She even won four crowns for Top Sales of the Year.

In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed scrapbooking, dancing, and singing. But her main passion in life was her family. She was the glue that held everyone together. Her laugh, smile, and unconditional love will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jessie Hunter; daughter, Dianne Pallett; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Survivors: husband, Marvin Kennedy; daughters, Pamela Tomlinson, Paula Archer, and Susan Cowley; bonus children, Mark Kennedy and wife, Angie, and Helen Kennedy; grandchildren, April Trammell, Tanya Archer, Amy Pallett, Alisha Lemons, Michelle Cowley, Alex Kennedy, Danielle Kennedy, and Declan Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Jordan Walker, Jaxon Trammell, and Emily Dianne Pallett; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and a beloved dog named Lilly.

     Summer Hunter is the daughter of Wesley Alan Hunter and Amy Camille Summers.

     Sybil Hunter is the daughter of Madora Hunter and Ida Mae Offill.¹

     Tennessee Hunter was born circa 1853 at Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas M. Hunter Jr. and Sarah Ann Godsey.¹

     Texas Liruvener Hunter was born on 12 February 1860 at Meigs County, Tennessee.^1,5 She was the daughter of Thomas M. Hunter Jr. and Sarah Ann Godsey.¹ She married George Elmore Brock on 26 November 1882 at Meigs County, Tennessee.^6,5,7 She died on 26 July 1888 at White County, Tennessee, at age 28.⁵ She was buried after 26 July 1888 at Sparta, White County, Tennessee.⁴

     Thomas M. Hunter has not actually been proven to be the father of Thomas M. Hunter of Rhea and Meigs Counties in Tennessee. Though other researchers seem to believe so.

However at this time this researcher is going to break the marriage link with Elizabeth Drake. There seems to be 3 possible wives at this time (19 Oct 2014). When more solid evidence is found then a wife will be readded. He was born circa 1785.^1,2 He died in February 1850 at Meigs County, Tennessee.^1,2

     Thomas M. Hunter Jr. was born circa 1818.¹ He was the son of Thomas M. Hunter.³ He was was a farmer circa 1830. He married Sarah Ann Godsey, daughter of Burley Godsey and Mary Poe, on 20 November 1840 at Meigs County, Tennessee.^4,5,3,6 He died after 1880.³

     Trevor Ian Hunter is the son of Keith Dee Hunter and Sherry Jane Jordan. He married Stephanie Jo Dawes, daughter of Galen Steve Dawes and Martha Kaye Donaldson, on 18 June 2005 at Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana.

     Virginia Nell Hunter was born on 5 February 1950 at Lamar County, Texas.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Louis Hunter and Jessie Lee Lunsford.¹ She married John Ray Geary Jr. on 25 May 1968 at Red River County, Texas.² She died on 14 May 2023 at Texas at age 73.³
