     Amanda Jones also went by the name of Mandy. She was born on 14 May 1853 at Georgia Amanda's interment card lists birth date as 14 May 1846.1,2 She married Michael B. Flanagan before 1878.1,3
Amanda Flanagan was written up in the Dallas Times Herald:

WOMAN IS FATALLY BURNED WHEN HER CLOTHING IGNITES

Mrs. Mandy Flannigan, 74 years old, 3031 Birmingham avenue died at Parkland Hospital about 2 o'clock Friday morning. of burns received at her home late Thursday afternoon.
Newman Langley was severely burned about the hands while attempting to extinguish the flames. Mrs. Flannigan ran about the house, her clothing ablaze. Langley seized her and attempted to put out the fire. She had been seriously burned however, before he was able to tear her clothing off.
Mrs. Flannigan's clothing ignited from a match, members of the family believe.
Mrs Flannigan had lived in Dallas for the past twenty-five years. She is survived by four sons, Will, Forrest, Ned and Gerald Flannigan and two daughters, Mrs. A. G. Braodnax and Mrs Newman Langley, all of Dallas Funeral arrangement have not been completed.

She died on 8 April 1921 at Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, at age 67.1,4,5 She was buried on 9 April 2021 at Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.5
