     Basil John Dorsey was born on 21 May 1759 at Baltimore County, Maryland. He was the son of Francis Dorsey and Ann Anne Unknown. He married Mary Robinson, daughter of Isaac Robinson and Rachel Simpson, in 1783 at Lincoln County, North Carolina. He died in 1807 at Franklin County, Georgia.

     Francis Dorsey was born on 23 June 1741 at Maryland. He married Ann Anne Unknown after 1757. He died in 1769 at Scotchmans Desire, Baltimore County, Maryland.

     Nancy Ann Dorsey married Henry Parks, son of Henry Parks and Martha Justice. She was born on 5 June 1794 at Lincoln County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Basil John Dorsey and Mary Robinson. She died on 2 April 1862 at Menard, Texas, at age 67.
