In the 1953 Burleson High School (Texas) yearbook, Eddie was noted as the most popular along with Arlene Curtis and he was also noted as the "Football Boy".4

Charles Edward Shuler, 78, passed away at home, Friday, April 11, 2014, in Burleson. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Charles was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Burleson to Raymond Brazil and Bertha Alliene Terry Shuler. He was a lifetime Burleson resident, recently inducted into the Burleson ISD Hall of Fame, as their first football quarterback. Charles retired from Justin Boot Co. after 47 years, and was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Sue Shuler; daughters, Cyndi Pakes and husband, Darren, and Dusti Shuler; grandson, Chaz Shuler; brother, Billy Ray Shuler; sister, Margie Walker; and many other loving extended family and friends.

J. Kivett and Mary Frances Bradley, on 9 December 1916 at Hendricks County, Indiana.7 He married Laura E. Tuggle on 5 March 1919 at Morgan County, Indiana.8 He died on 16 April 1965 at Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana, at age 95.4 The cause of death for Charles Lafayette Shuler was a coronary occlusion due to coronary artery arteriosclerosis.4

Muncie, Ind (Spl.)--Dr. Clifford Shuler, 61 years old, died yesterday in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, after a 4-day illness.
Dr. Shuler, a veterinary, had been chief of the fire department at Eaton 31 years and had served one term as trustee of Union Township, in which Eaton is located. He also was a member of the Masonic lodge, the Moose lodge and the Lions club.
Surviving him are his widow, Orpha, Eaton; his father, Franklin Shuler, and two brothers, Walter and Basil Shuler, all of Indianapolis; a brother, Abe Shuler, Eaton, and two daughters, Mrs, Sara Heath, Muncie, and Mrs Jane Prewitt, Eaton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the home in Eaton, and at 2 p.m. at the Hall and Son Mortuary in Mooresville. Burial will be at Mooresville.2
