Survivors include her parents; her husband, R. Larry Parks of Quitman; her daughter, Tammy Litchfield of Denton; her brother, Roy Gilmore of Simms; her sister, Cindy McConn of Valley View; three grandchildren; one aunt; two uncles; one niece; two nephews; and several cousins.

Ottis Lee Gilmore, 86, of Simms, Texas passed away on August 10, 2015 in Mt. Pleasant. He was born on April 1, 1929 to R.J. & Ada (Hunter) Gilmore in Daingerfield, Texas.

Mr. Gilmore was survived by his loving wife Bess Gilmore; son, Roy Gilmore and is wife Janis; daughter, Cindy McConn and her husband Allen; grandchildren and spouses, Tammy & Keith Litchfield, Ricky & Jennifer Boatright, Bobby Boatright, Amy Griggers; great grandchildren, Jessica, Randy, Emily, Travis, Jaci, Brooklyn, Dillon, Landry, Tucker, Hannah & Baylee. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Parks and brothers, Preacher, Morris & Tommy Gene Gilmore.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday August 13, 2015 at the Concord Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Monie Adcock, Allan McIntire, Doyle Stewart, Matt May, David Mears and Keith Litchfield. Bro. Steve Minter will be officiating.
