James Ruggerio, Jr. was born on July 7, 1949 to James Ruggerio, Sr. and Leoma Bethune Ruggerio in Houston, Texas. He passed away on May 4, 2019 in Spicewood, Texas surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Suta Ruggerio; his children: daughter, Elise Marie Willsey and husband Jared, and son, Tony James Ruggerio; sisters: Donna Wied and husband Bo, Cheryl Kasprzak and husband Steve, Lisa Mitchell and husband Chris; brother Ken Ruggerio and wife Cindy; and grandson: Caleb James Willsey.
He grew up in Houston and Spring, Texas. He graduated from Spring High School in 1968. He then attended Tyler Junior College ’69 – ’70, after which he went to Stephen F. Austin State University ’71 - ’73. At SFASU, he was in the TKE fraternity and served as President of his chapter.
He worked at Words & Things, Pegasus Design, …. and was a partner at Origin Design.
He enjoyed golf, betting on sports with his buddies and collecting sports memorabilia.1
