BONHAM - Private family graveside services for Mrs. Hazel Merle McCain were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 1994, in the Willow Wild Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham. Reverend Gary Gibbs, pastor of the First Christian Church in Bonham officiated.

Mrs. McCain was born on April 12, 1926, in Ivanhoe, TX., the daughter of Franklin Earl Walker and Valeria Jane Shuler Walker. Mrs. McCain attended schools in Fannin County and married Staff Sergeant George McCain in September of 1945. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1967. Mrs. McCain was a homemaker. Mrs. McCain had one brother, James Robert Walker, who passed away on December 7, 1986.

Mrs. McCain is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George and Cindy McCain of Idaho Falls, ID.' daughter and son-in-law, Erline and Bobby Downum of Belton, MO; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Campbell of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren, Larry Bradley, Gary Bradley, George McCain and Katie McCain.

Jane Walker Crow, a resident of Mountain Brook, Alabama, peacefully passed away on October 4, 2016. Jane was born on August 23, 1932, in Attalla, Alabama. She was the oldest of four children born to George Philips Walker, Jr. and Mildred Hearn Walker, who preceded her in death. Prior to his passing in 2007, Jane was the beloved wife of Warren Baker Crow III for fifty four years. She is survived by her children Warren Baker Crow IV (Nan), William Walker Crow (Lauren), and Elisabeth Crow Branch (Chuck); and her siblings George Walker (Annette) of Gadsden, Charles Walker (Bonnie) of Attalla, and Alice Keene (Tommy) of Montgomery. Her special loves were her grandchildren: Whitney Conrad (Druid), Caroline Pullen (Travis), Charles Branch (Regan), Walker Crow, John Crow, Christopher Branch, Margaret Anne Winters (David), Hunter Branch, and Janie Branch; and great grandchildren Tatum Winters and Caroline Conrad. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many close Hearn cousins. Her special friends were Bernice and Frank Robinson, and her loving and faithful caregivers were Gloria Johnson, Anner Evans, and Angela Murphy. Jane attended the Attalla city schools, Etowah County High School, Gulf Park College for Woman, and the University of Alabama, where she graduated with honors. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She always enjoyed watching Crimson Tide football and basketball games. Jane moved to the Mountain Brook area in 1954 and immediately immersed herself in civic activities where over the years she served in various leadership positions. She was a member of Tremont Garden Club, the Women's Committee of One Hundred, The Country Club of Birmingham, The Club, and her dance clubs: Harlequins, Gaities and Vanities. She also served as President of the Mountain Brook High School PTA. She taught school at Independent Presbyterian Day School for nine years. She was a long time member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and, along with her husband, created the Seekers Sunday School Class. Jane loved life. She especially enjoyed laughing with her friends, spending time with her family, playing bridge, and volunteering in many capacities, in particular at the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care. She was a wonderful, caring Christian servant sharing her time and wisdom unselfishly with others. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at Mountain Brook Baptist Church on Friday, October 7, at 2:00 pm., with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service in Hudson Hall. Memorials may be directed to the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care, 1713 Sixth Avenue S., Birmingham, Al. 35294-3412, Mountain Brook Baptist Church, 3631 Montevallo Road, Birmingham, AL. 35213, or to the charity of your choice .

Kenneth Ray Walker, 65, of Burleson, died Friday, January 24, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 28 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial was at Burleson Memorial Park.
Kenneth Ray Walker was born July 9, 1937, in Fort Worth to Elmer Lee and Ola Dee Fagan Walker. He retired from the Mansfield I.S.D. custodial department where he had worked the last eight years. He had also worked at Hobbs Trailer Manufacturing in Fort Worth for 20 years and was a former employee of Texas Steel. He was past worshipful master of Masonic Lodge #649 in Burleson, and he was a Baptist. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and a daughter, Vickie Lynn Wiltshire in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Walker of Burleson; granddaughter, Stephanie Wiltshire; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mountain Valley Funeral Home of Burleson handled the arrangements.
