Hon. George H. Milliken was born on 8 May 1808 at Sulphur Spring, Simpson County, Kentucky.1 He was the son of James Milliken and Elise A. West. He married Adelaide DeSha Buntin, daughter of Joseph Buntin and Phoebe Desha, circa 1835 at Kentucky.1 He married Senora Vaughan, daughter of Elisha B. Vaughan, on 28 September 1847 at USA.1 He died on 6 August 1884 at Franklin, Simpson County, Kentucky, at age 76.1 He was buried after 6 August 1884 at Franklin, Simpson County, Kentucky.2

Funeral services and burial were at Auburn.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Pierce Memorial Methodist Church in Auburn by the Rev. Russell Taylor. Burial was at Auburn.
Mr. Milliken was born in Rockfield. July 23, 1893, the sone of George and Louella Perkins Milliken. He had been a mail carrier for 40 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Pierce Memorial Church. He was also a member of its board of stewards and served as secretary of the board and trustee of the parsonage.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Howard H. Vannoy. Owensboro; three sons, George H. Milliken, Jr., Shelbyville, and Robert Perkins Milliken and Wilton Currie Milliken, both of Auburn; one sister, Mrs. Ray Montgomery, Columbia; and two brothers, the Rev. Dewitt Milliken, Auburn, and Roy Milliken, Rockfield, and six grandchildren.6
