     Thomas David Najvar Jr. was born on 15 April 1935 at Karnes County, Texas.1 He was the son of Thomas David Najvar and Anna Albina Zapalac.1 He married Helen E. Dziuk on 16 June 1956 at Falls City, Karnes County, Texas.2 He died on 30 July 2011 at Texas at age 76.3

Tommy David Najvar Jr., age 76, of Falls City, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011. He was born April 15, 1935 in Fashing, to Thomas Najvar Sr., and Annie Zaplac Najvar. He and Helen E. Dziuk married on June 16, 1956 in Falls City. Tommy was an oil field gauger, and a rancher. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Rosary Circle. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Helen E. Najvar of Falls City; daughter, Elizabeth Kroll of Falls City; brothers, Ivan Najvar of Victoria and Bill Najvar of Kingsville; sisters, Betty Richter of San Antonio and Frances Spring of Hallettsville; grandsons, Mason and Neil Kroll of Falls City; and an ex son-in-law, Gary D. Kroll of Falls City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, MJ, Albert and Jerry Najvar; and sisters, Margaret Najvar and Agnes Porter.

A rosary was recited 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City and the funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011 at the church. Interment will follow in the Falls City Cemetery.
