Her husband, Sidney Kaufman, died in 1983. An avid photographer of animals in nature, Andrea was a volunteer with the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York, the Audubon Society, and Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Her sister Kay Levin died in 1989. She leaves her sister April Gagliano, her son John Paul Kaufman, her daughter Katharine Weber, her son-in-law, Nicholas Fox Weber, her granddaughters, Lucy Swift Weber and Charlotte Fox Weber, and many other relatives and friends who have been missing her lively personality and exceptional humor for years.1
