     Monia Inez Loflin was born on 29 January 1910 at Coleman County, Texas.1 She was the daughter of William David Loflin and Mary Thomas Asberry.1 She married Rochell Howard, son of Olen David Howard and Annie Clementine Brinson, on 5 March 1941 at Lovington, Lea County, New Mexico.1,2 She died on 22 November 2004 at O'Donnell, Lynn County, Texas, at age 94.1
Monia Inez Howard Obituary


Mrs. Monia Inez Howard, 94, was born Jan. 29, 1910 in Coleman, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William David and Mary Asberry Loflin. She passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at her home in O'Donnell. She attended school in Taylor County.

She married Rochell Howard March 5, 1941 in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death June 27, 2003. Mrs. Howard was a longtime resident of O'Donnell, who traveled during her retirement. She was a retired florist and a Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Kay Mires of O'Donnell; a sister, Ollie Pearl Rice of Fresno, Calif; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Howard will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at the White Funeral Home in O'Donnell with the Rev. Jim Stephens and the Rev. Scott Hensley officiating. Internment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery in Dawson County.

Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Tahoka.3
