     Roy Lee Gilmore was born on 26 March 1948 at Mount Pleasant, Titus County, Texas.^1,2 He was the son of Ottis Lee Gilmore and Bessye Jo Martin.¹ He married Janis Cluxton on 1 September 1989 at Simms, Bowie County, Texas.² He died on 8 December 2019 at New Boston, Bowie County, Texas, at age 71.²

Roy Lee Gilmore, 72, of New Boston, Texas passed away on December 8, 2019 in New Boston, after a long illness. He was born on March 26, 1948 to Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Gilmore in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

He graduated from L.D. Bell High School, University of Texas at Arlington, and North Texas State University. He achieved an Associate in Applied Science in Mid-Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Roy was employed as Operations Manager for R-Tech Industries and Paragon Industries, as well as Line Installer for General Telephone Electronics Company. After moving to Simms, Texas in September of 1989, he was a salesperson for Walmart in New Boston, Texas.

Roy served as Navigation Communication Technician in the United States Air Force from November 1, 1971 until being Honorably Discharged on June 19, 1975. He was also a faithful member of the American Legion Post 488 in New Boston.

He married Janis Cluxton on September 1, 1989 in Simms, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Nancy Gilmore Parks.

Roy is survived by his loving wife; and one sister, Cindy McConn and spouse Allan, of Valley View, Texas; one niece, Tammy Litchfield and spouse Keith; two nephews, Richard Boatright and spouse Jennifer, and Bobby Boatright; step-daughter, Janie Gail Cruse; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; along with numerous cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in Morris County, Texas.

     Michael Roy Gipson married Karen M. Loflin, daughter of George Raymond Loflin and Margaret Ellen Hartigan, on 5 April 1975 at Fresno County, California.¹

     Paul Gipson is the son of Michael A. Gipson and Dr. Adana Marie Milliken M.D.¹
