Penny Lynn Turner, 34, of Indianapolis passed away January 8, 2022. She was born June 10, 1987 in Indianapolis to the late Dora James Turner and Debra Ann (Eakes) Turner. She had been employed with Perry Township Schools as a custodian. Penny was a lover of animals and was often found nurturing them back to health. She was very kind hearted and was a friend to many.

Penny is survived by her son Brandon Lee Dosch; siblings; James Turner, James Daniel Turner, and Shannon Turner; cousins Jennifer Epperson, Debbie Epperson, Edward Epperson Jr., and Arvin Jack Eakles; aunt and uncle Judith and Edward Epperson. She was preceded in passing by her parents and grandparents.

Memorial Gathering for Penny will be Monday, January 31, 2022, from 3:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. at Grinsteiner Funeral Home, 1601 East New York Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46201.

     Charlotte Turney was born on 19 January 1803 at USA.¹ She married William Sims before 1821.¹ She and William Sims appeared on the census of 30 September 1850 at Warren County, Tennessee.² She died on 27 August 1857 at Tennessee at age 54.¹ She was buried after 27 August 1857 at Warren County, Tennessee.¹

     Brenda Lee Tuttle is the daughter of William Franklin Tuttle and Carmaleeta Ann Jones.³ She married Gary Wayne Savage, son of Glenn Leon Savage and Margaret Rooksberry, on 25 June 1981 at Owen County, Indiana.¹ She and Gary Wayne Savage were divorced in 1987 at Indiana.³ She married Gary Wayne Savage, son of Glenn Leon Savage and Margaret Rooksberry, on 24 April 1989 at Spencer, Owen County, Indiana.⁴ She and Gary Wayne Savage were divorced in September 1997.³

     Louis F. Tuttle was born in May 1867 at Indiana.^2,3 He was the son of William H. H. Tuttle and Virginia F. Smock.² He married Minnie S. Power on 20 January 1889 at Marion County, Indiana.²

     Marie Pauline Tuttle is the daughter of Spencer Tuttle and Maggie Hanley.² She married Wilbur Wallace Boles, son of Wesley W. Boles and Rachael Elizabeth Holden, on 27 November 1918 at Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.^1,2

     Spencer Tuttle married Maggie Hanley before 1900.¹

     Thomas C. Tuttle was born circa 1814 at District of Maine, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.¹ He married Elizabeth F. Anderson on 31 March 1836 at Hamilton County, Ohio.^1,2

     William Franklin Tuttle also went by the name of Bill.³ He was born on 2 July 1925 at Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana.⁴ He was the son of William Henry Harrison Tuttle and Flora Marie Jent.^2,5,6 He married Carmaleeta Ann Jones, daughter of William Mervel Jones and Lea Opal Birge, on 18 August 1950 at Martinsville, Morgan County, Indiana.^1,2,5 He died on 21 December 2008 at Spencer, Owen County, Indiana, at age 83.^3,5

William "Bill" Tuttle, 83, Spencer, died Dec. 21, 2008, at his residence.
Born July 2, 1925, in Greencastle, he was the son of William Henry Harrison and Flora Marie (Jent) Tuttle.
He Married Carmaleeta (Jones) Tuttle, who survives in Spencer.
He was a bulldozer operator for Harry C. Miller. He also worked construction for Gueple Construction in Indianapolis. He was a farmer, a furrier and a ginseng dealer.
He was a member of the Quincy Conservation Club and Future Farmers of America.
Other survivors include four daughters, Lois Ann Leeburg of Gosport, Pamela Jo Sullivan and Brenda Lee Brown, both of Spencer, and Carol Sue Coleman of Tennessee; a sister, Frances B. Asher of Greencastle; a brother, Harold Allen Grimes of Ladoga; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Gosport. Elder Larry Calvert will officiate.
Visiting hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gosport Cemetery.
