William Fletcher Savage1,2

     William Fletcher Savage was born on 30 April 1886 at Marion County, Indiana.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Savage and Drucilla Ousley.1 He married Myrtle Veda Reid on 30 June 1909 at Anderson, Madison County, Indiana.3 He died on 18 August 1956 at Indiana at age 70.4

Age 70, food salesman, died in his home at 5936 Dewey Ave, after a long illness.

He was a life long resident of Indianapolis. He worked more than 10 years for the old Century Biscuit Company. Later he was a salesman for Hoosier Coffee Company and Hills Sales Company. He was a member of the North Park Masonic Lodge and Tuxedo Park Baptist Church.

His is survived by the widow, Mrs. Myrtle Savage; three brothers, Harrison Savage of Indianapolis, Orville and Roscoe Savage, and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Neidgh and Mrs. Fannie McHaffey, all of Martisnville.

     Zachariah Glenn Savage was born on 15 June 1993 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.1 He was the son of Gary Wayne Savage and Brenda Lee Tuttle.1 He died on 5 August 2023 at Martinsville, Morgan County, Indiana, at age 30.1

Zachariah Glenn Savage, 30, Spencer, passed away on August 5, 2023, from injuries sustained in a tragic car accident. Zach was born June 15, 1993, in Indianapolis, to Brenda (Tuttle) Brown and Gary W. Savage. Zach was engaged to be married to the love of his life, Taylor Downing, this coming October 26.

Zach graduated from Owen Valley High School. A talented and competitive athlete, Zach excelled in basketball, football, baseball, golf – if it was a sport, he could play it. He worked in construction for Keystone in Bloomington and had also worked in the tinting and car wrap trade. Because of his strong desire to help others, he followed his dream of becoming a firefighter and EMT and was a part of the Clay Township Owen County Fire Company for the past three years. Zach recently had completed all requirements to fulfill his dream of becoming a full-time firefighter.

Zach attended Emmanuel Church in Greenwood. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing guitar, and was a strong competitor in Beer Olympics. He was a wonderful dad to his son, Carter, and coached his basketball and baseball teams. He was a captivating communicator who loved big, and enjoyed every opportunity to be with his family. Zach will be fondly remembered for his huge heart, immense generosity, and passion for all things he believed in.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William F. Tuttle; and paternal grandparents, Glenn L. and Margaret A. Savage.

Survivors include his fiancé, Taylor Downing; mother, Brenda Brown; father, Gary Savage; children, Carter, Pieper, Stevie, and Kollyns; brothers, Jacob Savage and Travis Brown; sisters, Melissa (Dusty) Venable and Bristi (Justin) Moore; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Zach’s Life Celebration® Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, 2023, 5 to 8 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 E. High Street, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Barn at Milkhouse Lane, 11141 N. Rooker Road, Mooresville.
