     Brandon John Burke was born on 19 June 1973 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.¹ He was the son of Patrick Burke and Lynette Marie Olsen.¹ He married Christina Marceline before 1995 at Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota.¹ He died on 22 September 2012 at Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, at age 39.¹ Brandon J. Burke, 39 of Fargo, ND, formerly of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at home.

Brandon John Burke was born on June 19, 1973 the son of Patrick and Lynette (Olson) Burke in Grand Forks. He grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He attended school in Salt Lake City, Utah and then moved to Fargo, ND where he has resided since.

He married Christina Marceline in Fargo and worked as a mason, eventually owning AWSM Masonry. Brandon was always a hard worker and took a lot of pride in what he did.

On October 27, 1996 Dylan Burke was born to Brandon and Christina. Brandon and Dylan were inseparable from this point on. It was well known that they were best friends. Brandon later met Rachel Nielsen and they began to build a life together.

Brandon lived his life with passion and enthusiasm. His laughter was loud and contagious and his presence was instantly known and loved by everyone in the room.

Brandon is survived by his son, Dylan Burke, Fargo ND; his parents, Lynette Lunde and Pat Burke both of Grand Forks, ND; three sisters, Kelly (Mike) Kimball, East Grand Forks, MN; Rachel Lunde, Fargo, ND and Elizabeth Lunde, Grand Forks, ND; a brother, Dustin Burke, East Grand Forks, MN; nieces, Isabelle and Lola Kimball and nephew, Kemper Kimball; maternal, grandmother, Faye Leiter, Menomonie, WI.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Meryl Lunde; maternal grandfather, John Howard Olson; parental grandparents, Raymond Burke and Lois Galegher.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Norman Funeral Home – Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel, 2950 S. Washington St. Grand Forks.

Family Greeting: One hour before the funeral at the funeral home.

Interment: At a later date.¹

     Patrick Burke is the son of Raymond Burke and Lois Elizabeth Jordan.¹ He married Lynette Marie Olsen before 1972 at USA.²

     Paul Burke is the son of Raymond Burke and Lois Elizabeth Jordan.¹

     Raymond Burke married Lois Elizabeth Jordan, daughter of Carlos Joseph Jordan and Emma Josephine Kuntz, in February 1946 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.¹

     Ronald Burke was born on 5 December 1947 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.^2,3 He was the son of Raymond Burke and Lois Elizabeth Jordan.¹ He died on 12 December 2022 at Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska, at age 75.³


Ron Burke passed away from COVID on December 12th at Bryan Medical Center with his family at his side. Ron was born on December 5, 1947, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Lois and Raymond Burke. He graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1965 and soon after enlisted in the North Dakota Army National Guard. Ron continued to serve his country for 28 years in both North Dakota and Nebraska.

Ron spent his life in the food service and hospitality business. He was working in a restaurant by the time he was fifteen and went on to work in and manage restaurants while getting a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from the University of Minnesota Crookston. Ron became an Assistant Director of Dining Services at the University of North Dakota (UND) in 1980 and held that position for the next nine years. He then chose a different direction and earned a degree in Marketing Education from UND. However, missing the food service business, he applied for and got the Manager of Food Stores position at the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1991. Ron went on to become the Director of Dining Services and Summer Conferences for University Housing, retiring in 2018. Ron loved that position and he especially loved the people with whom he worked.
Surviving family members: wife, Charlotte; children: Sean Burke (Karla), Berthoud, CO; Erica Burke, Lincoln; Misty Burke, Cavalier, ND; step-children: Dan Johnson (Lori), Thief River Falls, MN; Ann Johnson, Lincoln; Brian Johnson (Sara), Omaha. Grandchildren: Jonathon, Elizabeth, Lauren, Joshua, Cole, Carley, Aidan, Brynn, Alex, Maggie, and Audrey. Brothers: Gerald, Wadena, MN; Pat, Mike, Steve (Lynette Lunde), Grand Forks, ND; Paul (Bonnie), East Grand Forks, MN. Several nieces and nephews.
Ron enjoyed buying and selling cars, building projects, making Jeff Bezos richer, surprising people with gifts, going to concerts, and especially spoiling his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 1015 Lancaster Lane, Lincoln, NE on Tuesday, December 20th at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family for designation to the causes most important to Ron.³

     Steve Burke is the son of Raymond Burke and Lois Elizabeth Jordan.¹
