Larry Wayne Williams, better known as “Meathead” to those that knew and loved him, passed away at his home on January 13, 2024. Born on March 19, 1953 to the late Alvie and Mattie (Overbey) Williams.

Meathead was a devoted husband to his loving wife Linda Jean (Bow) Williams for 49 years. He was a proud father to his sons Kevin Wayne and Keith Wayne Williams and adored his cherished grandchildren, “Little Bit” - Olivia Grace Williams & “Bubba Dozer” - River Scott Putnam. Meathead is also survived by his brother “Gomer” - Gerald Dean Williams and his sister Christine (Williams) Brutcher, along with a wide circle of family members and friends who were touched by his warmth.

Meathead spent his life enjoying his three favorite hobbies; photography, riding his Harley along side his lifelong friends, and fishing trips with his brother to Reelfoot, TN, their favorite destination.

Visitation will be at Fountain Square Mortuary in Indianapolis from 3 to 7 pm on Wedneaday, January17, with a memorial service at 7 pm. Meathead’s favorite color (red) or biker attire is encouraged to celebrate and honor his legacy.

     Lucy Williams was born in November 1882 at Robertson County, Texas.^1,2 She married James Riley Barfield, son of George Washington Barfield and Talitha Cumi Walker, circa 1888.² James Riley Barfield filed for divorce from Lucy Williams in May 1928 at Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas.³ She and James Riley Barfield obtained a marriage license in July 1928 at Limestone County, Texas.⁴ She died on 15 January 1932 at near Oletha, Limestone County, Texas, at age 49.¹

     Marie Williams was born on 1 May 1904.¹ She married Hugh French, son of James Thomas French Jr. and Martha Anne Tucker, in 1936 at Arkansas.¹ She died on 13 August 1997 at Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, at age 93.¹

     Melody Lynn Williams married Eric Dale Conkle, son of Edwin Ray Conkle and Sandra Anita Guy, on 10 May 1985 at Dallas County, Texas.¹ She and an unknown person were divorced on 3 January 1992 at Dallas County, Texas.³
