Loflin was born on 20 October 1907 at Texas.1,2 He was the son of William David Loflin and Mary Thomas Asberry.1 He married Rachel Lee Colclazer, daughter of Andrew Lawson Colclazer and Ollie Lee Turner, after 1925.3 He married Loucile Unknown on 20 October 1977 at Fresno County, California.4 He died on 12 April 2000 at Selma, Fresno County, California, at age 92.2

J.T. Loflin of Caruthers passed away April 12 in Selma. He was 92 years old at the time of his death.
A funeral for the deceased was held on April 17 at 10 a.m. at the Cavalry Baptist Church in Caruthers with burial following at Washington Colony Cemetery. Page Funeral Chapel in Selma assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Loflin was a self-employed farmer for 70 years. He was born in Texas.
Mr. Loflin was preceded in death by his son, Leon Loflin, his granddaughter, Laura Loflin, and his first wife, Rachel Loflin.
He is survived by his spouse, Lucille Loflin of Caruthers; his son, George Loflin of Caruthers; his daughter, Edith Ortenzi of Northridge; his three sisters, Monie Howard of Texas, Ethel Blake of Sonora, and Pearl Rice of Fresno; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.2
