     The origin of the name Sylvenus (sil VAHN us) is Latin for "of the forest."¹ He was born circa 1835 at New York. He was the son of Eleazer Jordan and Hannah Unknown. He appeared on the census of 26 July 1850 in the household of Eleazer Jordan and Fanny Unknown at Moriah, Essex County, New York.² He married Charlotte Gibson, daughter of Nicholas Gibson and Nancy Hudson, circa 1863.³ He and Charlotte Jordan appeared on the census of 28 July 1870 at Moriah, Essex County, New York.⁴ He died on 20 January 1873 at Mineville, Essex County, New York.⁵

     Wilford Lee Jordan also went by the name of Willie. He was born on 30 November 1930 at Larimore, Grand Forks County, North Dakota. He was the son of Durward E. Jordan and Edith Gwen Jones. He married Helen Ruth Bow, daughter of Albert McKinley Bow and Elizabeth Isabelle Boles, on 14 June 1952 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.^1,2,3 The cause of death for Wilford Lee Jordan was Auto Accident on 8 October 1989. He died on 8 October 1989 at Johnson County, Indiana, at age 58.

     William Jordan was born in 1804 at Essex County, New York. He was the son of Benjamin Jordan and Mary Clothier.
