Joyce Lee Jordan was born on 5 January 1958 at Grand Rapids, Itasca County, Minnesota.1,2 She was the daughter of Edward Llewellyn Jordan and Dorothy Ann Beauregard.1,2 She was baptized on 30 June 1963 at Bovey, Itasca County, Minnesota.3 She was adopted, along with her sisters, Denise and Janice, by their uncle and aunt Harvey and Ursula Jordan after the death of her parents after March 1965 at USA. She married William Lee West after 1978. She died on 11 February 2002 at Decatur, Adams County, Indiana, at age 44.1

She is survived by a daughter, Jessie L. WEST of Columbia City, IN; her parents, Harvey JORDAN and Ursula SHOWERS of Edgerton; four sisters: Denise JORDAN of Avilla, IN, Janice JORDAN of Milton, Gwen JORDAN of Fort Wayne, IN, Ruby TOWDEN of Mountain Home, AR; three brothers, Douglas JORDAN of Milton, Scott JORDAN of Janesville and Matthew (Sarita) JORDAN of Edgerton; her companion of seven years, Bobby HARTSOCK of Decatur, IN; and several niece and nephews, aunts and an uncle and cousins. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Edward and Dorothy (BEAUREGARD) JORDAN; grandparents and other relatives.

She married Raymond Burke in February 1946 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.2 She married Edward Galegher before 1986.2 She and Edward Galegher lived in 1987 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.3 She died on 1 March 2008 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, at age 83.2 Lois E. Galegher, 83, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks.

In February of 1946 she married Raymond Burke in Grand Forks, ND. She worked for in housekeeping for St. Michael’s Hospital then United Hospital until her retirement in 1990. Raymond preceded her in death in 1966.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Burke, Minneapolis, MN, Ronald (Charlotte) Burke, Lincoln, NE, Pat Burke, Fargo, ND, Mike Burke, Seattle, WA, Paul (Bonnie) Burke, East Grand Forks, MN and Steve Burke, Grand Forks, ND; 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Galegher; her parents and a brother, Calvin.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in University Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service in Gregory J. Norman – Norman Funeral Home, 2950 S. Washington St., Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will continue for one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
Burial: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND, in the spring.4 She was buried after April 2008 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.4
