     Joan Marie Stuart is the daughter of Robert Lee Stuart and Lou Ellen Walters.¹ She married Jeremy Wayne Mauer, son of Richard Edgar Mauer Jr. and Mary Ellen Kemper, on 28 October 1995 at Huntsville, Walker County, Texas; (or 12 Oct 1995.)^1,2

     Robert Lee Stuart is the son of Boyd Thomas Stuart and Betty Louise Nuckles.² He married Lou Ellen Walters on 5 February 1971 at Polk County, Texas.^1,3

     Mabel Marie Stum was born on 3 April 1904 at Indiana.¹ She married Floyd Vernon, son of Charles Vernon and Florence E. Boles, on 24 June 1923 at Indiana.¹ She died on 27 October 1980 at Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana, at age 76.¹

     Alice K. Sturges is the daughter of Rush Sturges and Elizabeth Hazard.¹

     Benjamin Rush Sturges was born on 4 December 1908 at Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.^2,3,4 He was the son of Rush Sturges and Elizabeth Hazard.³ He and Sandol Stoddard were engaged in December 1932.⁵ He married Sandol Stoddard, daughter of Carlos French Stoddard and Sandol Humphreys Milliken, on 2 September 1933 at USA.^1,2 He began military service in 1941 at USA United States Naval Reserve.² He ended military service in 1945 at USA; as a Commander in the United States Naval Reserve.² He died on 6 December 1997 at Rhode Island at age 89.⁶

STURGES-Benjamin. The Volunteers and Staff of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) deeply mourn the death of our friend and colleague, Benjamin Sturges. From 1975-1980 he was a highly valued member of the PPFA Board which richly benefited from his fund raising acumen, sound business judgement, and passionately articulate leadership. A long-time advocate for the health and rights of women, he founded the PPFA Alumni Association in 1982 and was honorary board member of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island, where he had been active since 1965.
