Louisa Tenison1

F, b. 6 September 1853, d. 21 November 1944
Louisa was the daughter of John R. Tenison and Mary Elizabeth Rogers (daughter of Jane Rogers). She came to Texas when she was 14 from Covington, Kentucky, in a covered wagon with her parents, five brothers, and two sisters. Her father established the first saddlery business in Dallas, Tenison Brothers Wholesale Saddlery Company, which was carried on after his death by his sons.

Louisa was a member of the first Episcopal church established in Dallas. She had four children: Minnie, Anna, Josephine, and Mary. A photo of Louisa was published in The Dallas Morning News on September 3, 1933.1 Louisa Tenison was born on 6 September 1853 at Kenton County, Kentucky.1 She was the daughter of John R Tenison and Jane Rogers.1 She married Jean Baptiste Louckx before 1871.2 She died on 21 November 1944 at Highland Park, Dallas County, Texas, at age 91.1
