Boles was born on 2 May 1852 at Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of Abraham Boles and Lurana Moore.¹ He lived in 1870 at Hancock County, Indiana.³ He married Rachael Elizabeth Holden, daughter of John Holden and Melissa Odenpaugh, on 13 May 1877 at Carrollton, Hancock County, Indiana.^1,4 He and Rachael Elizabeth Holden lived in 1900 at Marion County, Indiana.⁵ He and Rachael Elizabeth Holden lived in 1910 at Washington, Owen County, Indiana.⁶ He and Rachael Elizabeth Holden lived in 1920 at Owen County, Indiana.⁷ He and Rachael Elizabeth Holden lived on 12 April 1930 at Owen County, Indiana.⁸ He died on 3 August 1946 at Anderson, Madison County, Indiana, at age 94.⁹

Wesley Boles

Wesley Boles, 91-year-old retired farmer, died yesterday in the home of a son, George Boles, at Anderson. A native of Kentucky, Mr. Boles had spent most of his life in the vicinity of Anderson.
Funeral serices will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Mt. Lebanon. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
Survivors besides the son, George, are eight other sons, Wiley E. Boles, Ora Boles, Charles Boles, Walter Boles and Harry Boles all of Indianapolis; Alonzo Boles of Burbank, Cal; John Boles of Hawthorne, Ca; and Wilbur Boles of Chattanooga, Tenn; a daughter, Mrs Goldie White of Indianapolis; 28 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren.⁹

     Wilbur Wallace Boles was born on 1 November 1900 at Cumberland, Hancock County, Indiana.^1,3 He was the son of Wesley W. Boles and Rachael Elizabeth Holden.¹ He married Marie Pauline Tuttle, daughter of Spencer Tuttle and Maggie Hanley, on 27 November 1918 at Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.^2,3 He died in March 1987 at Indiana at age 86.⁴

     Wiley Albert Boles is the son of Ralph Olan Boles and Beatrice Genevieve Axum.¹ He married Doreen Benington on 26 April 1968.²

     Wiley Emerson Boles was born on 29 December 1879 at Reedville, Hancock County, Indiana.^1,2,3 He was the son of Wesley W. Boles and Rachael Elizabeth Holden. He married Pearl Daisy Arnett, daughter of James A. Arnett and Hannah Isabelle Denny, on 20 July 1905 at Owen County, Indiana.^1,4 He and Pearl Daisy Arnett lived in 1930 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.⁵ He lived in 1942 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. He registered for the draft of World War II on 27 April 1942 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. He died in February 1979 at Marion County, Indiana, at age 99.⁶

     Wiley Oland Boles is the son of Ralph Olan Boles and Agatha Glee Richey.¹ He married Mary T. Pinheiro on 27 July 1968 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.²

     William Boles, the subject's [Harmon W. Boles] grandfather, was born and reared in the above state [Pennsylvania], but when a young man went to Ohio, where he married and reared a family of six sons and four daughters, only one of whom, John W., the youngest of the number, is living.
William Boles moved to Indiana in an early day and settled in the north eastern part of Shelby county, where he engaged in farming and spent the remainder of his life, dying in 1863.²
