Wayne was born on December 1, 1938 in Beaver Dam, KY to the late James Douglas and late Margaret Milliken. He attended the Church of Christ in Auburn and worked as a Woodworker for Colonial House Furniture. He is preceded in death by his son Mark Wayne Douglas and grandson Michael Kent Belcher. James Wayne Douglas, 72

James Wayne Douglas, 72, of Auburn, died Aug. 13, 2011 at his home.

He was born in Beaver Dam Dec. 1, 1938, a son of the late James Douglas and the late Margaret Milliken. In addition to his parents, Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by his son, Mark Wayne Douglas and his grandson, Michael Kent Belcher.

Mr. Douglas attended the Church of Christ in Auburn and worked as a woodworker for Colonial House Furniture.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 17 at Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Arlon Watkins, John McAvoy, Jessie Bartley and Boyd Wright officiating. Burial followed in the Belmont Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dusty Smith, Mike Bibee, Steve Bibee, Jamie Buchanan, Bryan Smith and Nolan Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Thomas, Tim Hodges, Chris Dunn and Boyd Wright.

He is survived by his wife Linda Douglas; his son, Dan Douglas and wife Melanie of Russellville; his daughter, Beth Belcher and husband Mike of Auburn; his brother, William E. Page of Elkton; his sister, Brenda Johnson of Allensville; his grandchildren, Drew Douglas, Lana Douglas, Corrie Douglas, Michaela Belcher and Makenzie Belcher; his step-grandchildren, Elisha Lawrence and Brian Belcher; his step-great-grandchildren, Kaylee Lawrence and Kellis Lawrence, and several nieces and nephews.3
