     James Monroe Thompson Jr. was born on 2 January 1901 at Tyler, Smith County, Texas.¹ He was the son of James Monroe Thompson Sr. and Sarah Frances Telfair.^2,3 He married Bobbie Louise Milliken, daughter of Robert Harris Milliken and Francis Isabelle Ham, on 23 December 1923 at Houston, Harris County, Texas.⁴ He died on 23 June 1991 at Houston, Harris County, Texas, at age 90.^2,5

     James Monroe Thompson Sr. was born on 8 August 1878 at Craft, Cherokee County, Texas.¹ He was the son of John William Thompson.² He married Sarah Frances Telfair on 5 April 1900 at Tyler, Smith County, Texas.³ He died on 8 August 1953 at Palestine, Anderson County, Texas, at age 75.¹

     James Roland Thompson was born on 13 March 1930 at Mexia, Limestone County, Texas.^1,2,3 He was the son of James Monroe Thompson Jr. and Bobbie Louise Milliken.¹ He married Theresa Bernice Moffitt before 1963.⁴ He died on 14 November 2004 at Texas at age 74.^5,6 He was buried after 14 November 2004 at College Station, Brazos County, Texas.⁶ James Roland Thompson

James Roland Thompson, 74, of Bella Vista died Nov. 14 in Bella Vista. He was born on March 13, 1930 in Mahia, Texas to James and Louise Thompson.

He was a graduate of Texas A & M, class of 1952. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army, Navy and Texas National Guard. He was a member of Park Place Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Park Place Methodist Church in Houston, Texas

He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Louise Thompson and wife, Theresa B. Thompson.

He is survived by son, Paul A. Thompson of Bella Vista; daughter Marilyn K. Black and husband Gary of Bella Vista, daughter Kathleen R. Goins and husband David of Kansas City, Mo; son Walter J. Thompson and wife Karen of Montgomery, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Nov. 20 at the College Station Cemetery in College Station, Texas. Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista.
