     Richard Ora Boles was born on 10 October 1906 at Indiana.1,3 He was the son of Ora R. Boles and Emma L. Davis.1 He was a mechanic in the auto industry in 1930 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.1 He married Stella C. Argo on 30 December 1930 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.4 He died on 8 November 1998 at Saluda, Polk County, North Carolina, at age 92.3,2,5 Richard Ora Boles, 92, of Tryon, North Carolina, passed away November 8, 1998, in Autumn Care Nursing Center in Saluda, North Carolina.

A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late Ora and Emma L (Davis) Boles.

He was retired from Chrysler in 1966 and spent his retirement years racing go-carts and working on the pit crews in NASCAR and Busch Grand National circuits.

Surviving are a son, Thomas R. Boles of Tryon, NC; two daughters, Dolores Boles of Raleigh, NC, and Annette Cook of Indianapolis, IN; and five grandchildren.

Services were held November 10, 1998 at McFarland Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Joseph Emery.

Burial was in Polk Memorial Gardens.2

RICHARD ORA BOLES, 92, Tryon, N.C., formerly of Indianapolis, died Nov. 8. He raced go-carts and worked in pit crews for the NASCAR and Busch Grand National racing circuits. Previously, he worked for Chrysler Corp., retiring in 1966. Services and calling: none. Burial: Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, N.C. He was the widower of Stella Argo Boles. Survivors: children, Thomas R. Boles, Delores, Annette Sue Cook; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild. McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, handled arrangements.6
