Anthony David "Tony" Shuler, 61, Bon Aqua, Tenn., passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Anthony worked in retail management for Dollar Store and Family Dollar and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Wayne Franklin and Eileen Brouse Shuler.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Blunkall Shuler of Bon Aqua; sons, Steve (Michele) Shuler, Exeter, Calif., David (Samantha) Shuler, Cedar Hill, Tenn., and Daniel (Kara) Shuler, Seymour; brothers, Doug (Karen) Shuler, Vevay, Donnie Bruce, Lakeland, Fla., and Bobby Bruce, Greenwood; sisters, Linda (Jimmy) Riddle, Goodlettsville, Tenn., Kathy (John) Hershey, Fishers, Donna (Jimmy) Lenox, Cincinnati, Jo Simmons, Madison, Yonna (Jeff) Heath, VeVay, and YoYo (Andy) Tilley, Madison; nine grandchildren, Zackery, Lane, Lisette, Ashlyn, Jacob, Victoria, Kennedy, Jaren and Danika; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Following the service, his wishes were to be cremated and be buried at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.¹

     Billie Marion Shuler was born on 7 October 1931 at Burleson, Johnson County, Texas.^1,2 He was the son of Marion Cicero Shuler and Winnie L. Brooks. He died on 27 January 1932 at Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas; birthdate is incorrectly listed on the death certificate.³

     Billy Ray Shuler was born on 19 December 1933 at Johnson County, Texas.¹ He was the son of Raymon Brazil Shuler and Bertha Allene Terry. He appeared on the census of 23 April 1940 in the household of Raymon Brazil Shuler and Bertha Allene Terry at Johnson County, Texas.² He married Evelyn Louise Barrett, daughter of Elwin Lois Barrett and Juanita Daniels, on 6 November 1959 at Johnson County, Texas.³ He married Geanie Grissom on 18 January 1991 at Tarrant County, Texas.⁴ He and Geanie Grissom were divorced on 26 September 1995 at Parker County, Texas.⁵ He married Sharon L. Benson, daughter of Nels Conrad Benson and Carolyn Genevieve, on 23 January 1999 at Parker County, Texas.⁴ He died on 2 November 2018 at Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, at age 84; Researcher was first notified by Scott Shuler via a Facebook message on 22 Apr 2019.⁶

He was an avid pilot who dedicated his life to the love of the Lord, the love of flying, and the love of Jud and Julie. Billy loved life, and he held his friends close and dear to his heart. SURVIVORS: Wife, Linda; daughters, Pat Ware, Dena Seely, Kathy Shuler; sons, Phill Shuler, Raymond Shuler; sister, Margie Walker; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous loving extended family and friends.
