MASON - Milton Dee Gibbs, 69, of Brady died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at his
residence. Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Mason Funeral Home Chapel with
burial in Gooch Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Jo Gibbs of Brady; son, Larry D. Gibbs of
Oklahoma City, Okla; and stepchildren, Mary Ann Milliken and Roy Dean Farris,
both of Odessa, and Troy Lee Farris of Belton.1

The marriage of Miss Sallie Haynes Gibbs, daughter of ex-Governor and Mrs. Barnett Gibbs, to Dr. Samuel E. Milliken, of New York city, will take place this afternoon at 5 o'clock, at the family home on Live Oak street.
Mr. and Mrs. Milliken will leave this evening for their home in New York city, via Galveston.
The wedding will be a quiet family affair.1,4 She was found on a passenger list on 14 September 1923 at New York, New York.5 She and Dr. Samuel Edwin Milliken MD were divorced before 1924 at Texas.6 She married Captain E. Dick Slaughter on 25 December 1927 at Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.7 She died on 11 October 1958 at Saint Louis, Saint Lousi County, Missouri, at age 74.8 She was buried on 14 October 1958 at Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.8

     Charlotte Gibson was born on 17 March 1843 at Moriah, Essex County, New York.1,2 She was the daughter of Nicholas Gibson and Nancy Hudson.3 She appeared on the census of 14 July 1850 in the household of Nicholas Gibson and Nancy Gibson at Moriah, Essex County, New York.4 She married Sylvenus Jordan, son of Eleazer Jordan and Hannah Unknown, circa 1863.1 She and Sylvenus Jordan appeared on the census of 28 July 1870 at Moriah, Essex County, New York.5 She appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 at Mineville, Essex County, New York.6 She died on 8 April 1925 at Vergennes, Addison County, Vermont, at age 82.2 She was buried after 8 April 1925 at Port Henry, Essex County, New York.7

Obituary

Mrs. Charlotte Jordan.

Mrs. Charlotte Jordan, died Wednesday, April 8, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Smith, having suffered a stroke of paralysis several days before. Mrs. Jordan's maiden name was Charlotte Gibson, and she was born March 16, 1843, in Moriah Center, N. Y., the daughter of Nicholas and Nancy Gibson. She was married to Levarn Jordan, whose death occurred 51 years ago, at which time she moved to Panton, where she resided until 15 years ago when she settled in this city. Mrs Jordan is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cora Smith of this city and Mrs. Joseph Rogers of Panton. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the United church, the pastor, Rev. J. S. Clark, officiating. The bearers were four grandsons, Chester Jordan of this city and Arthur, Henry and Walter Rogers of Panton. The body was placed in the vault at the Prospect cemetery and later will be interred in the family lot in Port Henry cemetery.8
