He had been a deputy sheriff for the Marion County Sheriff's Department nine years, retiring in 1983. Previously, he worked in electrical maintenance at Methodist Hospital for 14 years. Mr. Green was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Community Mission Church, Terre Haute. Survivors: Margaret Bow Green; sons, Larry Ackley and Lonnie Eaton; father John Green; brothers, Robert, Donald L. and Paul D. Green; sister, Rosalee Pascoff; eight grandchildren.
